Weapon skill #4 is called Deathly Swarm, which is literal lol. There are a lot of options but over all using condi’s in the game is quite fun and interesting. Or as in my case, you can use condi’s as a sort of price for using certain skills. There are many ways to use Condi’s in the game, whether you’re a plague bringer giving out tons of conditions to your foe without doing hardly any normal damage – or if you’re a condi cleanser where you remove condi’s from your allies and even transfer them all to your target instead – or you can add condi’s to yourself so you can “consume” them and gain health. Some games call these “DOT’s” or Damage over Time, but in GW2 we call them Condi’s or Conditions. The self hurt doesn’t do much damage to you but it is something to remember, especially if you’re low on health.īleed is a type of damage that works over time.
It does a small amount of damage to your target and immobilizes them but you are literally cutting your hand and making yourself bleed to do it. This weapon skill is very useful in certain situations but isn’t necessarily something I’d use all the time. It’s a really fun effect and it does a lot of damage and healing at the same time. That’s why I’m currently a Vampire build, but I can easily be a plague reaper, a minion master (which is really fun since you have an army of ghoulish creatures following you around and fighting alongside you), or a number of other options.Ī really cool aspect of the Life Siphon spell is that when you use it you actually get to see red bubbles that look like blood being drained out of your target and flying straight into your body. Each class comes with multiple playing options built in so you can customize your weapon choices and special utility spells, etc. Oh I totally forgot to mention that this Vampire build I’m showing off is part of a larger “class” in the Guild Wars 2 game – specifically I’m playing a Necromancer, one of 9 unique classes available in the game. This is perhaps my favorite spell in this class. This spell literally sucks the health of your target right out of them and channels that health into your body healing you of as much damage as possible. This is where the vampirism truly shines. This makes surviving group attacks much easier! The best part of this auto-attack is that it is capable of hitting 3 targets at the same time as long as they’re in range and mostly in front of you. This isn’t your most powerful attack though. But it’s the auto-attack so as long as you’re close enough to your target you can keep dagger slashing it without pushing any buttons to keep going. So this weapon is a mix of spell and physical attack.
Every third attack shows large black and green ghostly teeth chomping down on your opponents body doing extra damage that your other dagger slashes. It’s a basic dagger slash that creates a black and green mist to slash your opponent even if they’re slightly out of arms reach. Plus I primarily use a special weapon set called “Wells” which are basically marks placed on the ground at certain locations that do damage or cause special effects to you and your opponent. To me he feels ornate and elegant, rather like a Vampire should.Įven though it’s important to look awesome, it’s also important to have an awesome and fun “build” or set up.Ĭurrently I’m wielding two daggers as my weapons. The colors are: Darkness (a glossy black) and Oxblood, the white sections are just part of the outfit and can’t be changed. His outfit may look weird to some people but I love it! It’s a mix of three outfit designs put together: the Aurora chest, legs, and boots the Queen’s Mask and the Conjurer Mantle. Basically, he’s a sort of Human playing as a Vampire.

You can play for free with some limitations but it’s well worth it to buy the expansion that opens up a whole new world of gameplay options! I’ve been playing for about 3 years sporadically and I just have so much fun with it!
